Love & Alliteration

Perfectly Played

She’s a runaway bride. He’s a jilted groom. Will one night in Las Vegas lead to a second-chance romance?

Flora:
‘I do’ just became ‘I don’t.’ And now I’m doing the 100-metre sprint out of the chapel, straight into the arms of the biggest, broadest, sexiest stranger Las Vegas has ever seen.

But a perfect one-night stand leaves me without anything—no number, last name, not even where to find him on social media. There’s an amazing guy walking around the world who just got left at the altar, and all I know is his name is Dean.

Dean:
I shouldn’t have been surprised that I never heard from Flora again. I left her a note, but I’d also just gotten left at the altar, so who can blame her?

But weeks later, I walk into a flower shop back in Toronto, and there she is. Right in front of me, just as cute and funny as that night, plus she knows baseball and she’s got a dog. She’s perfect.
But…she puts me in the friend zone. Sure, we’ve got baggage but I’m tired of fate playing favourites, and I’m not losing Flora again.

A second chance romance seems perfectly fated, so fall in love with Flora and Dean in this charming, funny, and sweet friends-to-lovers romantic comedy.

Beautifully Baked

M.K. always has a plan. Playboy Clay and his surprise baby were never part of it.

M.K.
My BFF left her groom at the altar. Dean was stood up by his bride. Seems a perfect match? Except their perfect night together ended without names or numbers.

Bad for them, but worse for me: I met Clay the same night.

I might spend all my time making my patisserie, Pain au Chocolat, the best it can be rather than looking for love, but if I were, I think it might be with someone like Clay with his smooth talk and kind eyes. But Flora can’t find Dean so it doesn’t matter how much thoughts of Clay distract me from my recipes, it won’t happen for me.

Clay:
I’m not a believer in love at first sight, but I’ve never met a woman like M.K. And if Dean only left a proper note...

But somehow Dean found his way to Flora. And despite a rocky start—cat allergies and vengeful ex-girlfriends—things start to look good for me and M.K. She fits into my life—and my kitchen—as easily as one of her café au lait goes down, and for the first time, I think it’s time to become a one-woman man.

But then we have to deal with the surprise my ex just left on my doorstep.

Falling fast doesn’t mean it will last for M.K. and Clay, especially when a surprise baby gets added into the mix—unless he’s the missing ingredient to their happy ever after.

Perfectly Popped

A runaway bride and a jilted groom meet in Las Vegas and everyone around them falls in love.
Except Ruthie. And Trev.

Ruthie
I’m the definition of a free spirit, moving out of relationships faster than a cat meme goes viral because it’s easier being the heartbreaker rather than letting anyone close enough to see the real me.

But then I meet Trev. It’s loathe at first sight for both of us. He’s a teacher with a solid career and a cynical outlook and I just don’t agree with him, except for about his dog, who is very cool. The only thing we have in common is that neither of us is looking for love even though everyone around us seems to be falling head over heels.

It doesn’t matter that there’s more to Trev than meets the eye, and I really liked the way he looked in that sweater, before I spilled wine on it—it’s not going to happen with us.

Trev
Ruthie is… exasperating. She’s like no one I’ve ever met before, with the pink hair and outlandish clothes, flitting around from job to job, from man to man. I might have a dream of finishing my screenplay but Ruthie thinks it’s best to turn any dream into reality at a moment’s notice. Life doesn’t work like that.

But she keeps finding ways to invade my life, and the more time I spend with her, the more I look for ways to see her again. Even though—not going to happen.

Until maybe it is.

Fall in love with Ruthie and Trev in this opposites-attract, enemies-to-lovers sweet romantic comedy with plenty of movies, mishaps, and finding out what really makes you happy.
